Do I own my website?
Webby Sites is a subscription platform, not a website you take away and host elsewhere — similar to how Shopify or Wix work. Your site is designed, hosted and maintained by WebAcumen for as long as your plan is active. A buy-out option to take full ownership is planned for a future release; it isn't available yet. If you need a site you own outright from day one, our web design team can build that for you instead.
What happens if I cancel?
Your site comes offline once your final billing period ends. We'll always warn you before that happens and can help you export your content beforehand.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — connect your own domain on the Growth plan and above. Starter includes a free WebAcumen subdomain, with the option to upgrade any time.
How is this different from hiring WebAcumen to build a custom site?
Webby Sites is fully AI-built and self-serve — ideal for getting online fast and affordably. If you need a fully custom design, integrations, or a site you own outright, our web design team builds that the traditional way.
Can I edit the site myself after Webby builds it?
