Change Platforms.
Keep What Matters.

We migrate websites, stores, and applications from any platform to any other — with zero data loss, preserved SEO equity, and a cutover plan that keeps your business running throughout.

Migration Paths

Common Migrations We Handle

Don't see your exact path? We work with any combination — contact us and we'll scope it.

WordPress → Headless CMS

Keep your content, gain the performance

WordPressNext.js + Strapi / Contentful / Sanity

Decouple your WordPress backend from the frontend — or migrate content entirely to Strapi, Contentful, or Sanity — and rebuild the front end in Next.js or Astro. You get the editorial workflow your team knows with the performance and scalability a modern frontend delivers.

  • Full content & media migration
  • WPGraphQL or REST API setup
  • Next.js / Astro frontend build
  • ISR / SSG / SSR strategy
  • Redirects & SEO equity preservation
  • Editor training & handover

Static HTML → WordPress

Give your team control without touching code

Static HTML / CSSWordPress

You have a static HTML site that works, but every content change needs a developer. We migrate your design and content into a bespoke WordPress theme, giving your team a full CMS without any loss of design fidelity or SEO standing.

  • HTML → bespoke WordPress theme
  • Content migration & structuring
  • Plugin setup (SEO, forms, caching)
  • URL structure & redirect mapping
  • Google Search Console handover
  • CMS training for your team

Shopify ↔ WooCommerce

Own your store. Own your data.

Shopify / WooCommerceWooCommerce / Shopify

Whether you're leaving Shopify's monthly fees for a self-hosted WooCommerce store or moving the other way for Shopify's managed infrastructure — we migrate products, variants, orders, customers, and all historical data cleanly.

  • Products, variants & inventory
  • Customer accounts & order history
  • Payment gateway reconfiguration
  • Shipping zones & tax rules
  • URL structure & 301 redirects
  • Theme rebuild or matching design

Legacy PHP → Modern Stack

Stop maintaining code that's holding you back

Legacy PHP / Bespoke CMSNext.js / Laravel / Node.js

Bespoke PHP applications, CodeIgniter, CakePHP, or unmaintained bespoke systems — we assess, extract, and rebuild on a modern stack (Next.js, Laravel, Node.js) while keeping your business running throughout the transition.

  • Codebase audit & risk assessment
  • Database schema migration
  • Feature parity rebuild
  • API design & documentation
  • Parallel-run testing period
  • Cutover with rollback plan

Any CMS → Any CMS

Not just the popular paths

Any platformAny platform

Joomla to WordPress. Drupal to Strapi. Wix to a bespoke build. Squarespace to WooCommerce. If you need to move between any two platforms, we've likely done it — and if we haven't, we know how to approach it systematically.

  • Platform assessment & migration plan
  • Content structure mapping
  • Bespoke migration scripts
  • Media & asset transfer
  • SEO & URL preservation
  • Post-migration QA & testing

On-Premise → Cloud / Managed Hosting

Move your app without moving your risk

On-premise / shared hostingCloud / managed hosting

Server room to cPanel, VPS, DigitalOcean, or AWS — we handle the infrastructure migration, DNS cutover, SSL configuration, and performance tuning so the transition is invisible to your users.

  • Server environment audit
  • Database & file migration
  • DNS cutover planning
  • SSL / HTTPS configuration
  • Performance & caching setup
  • Monitoring & alerting

How We Work

A Migration Process That Removes the Risk

01

Discovery & Audit

We assess your current platform — content volume, data structure, integrations, SEO standing, and any gotchas. You get a migration scope document and timeline before we touch anything.

02

Migration Plan

A step-by-step plan covering content mapping, redirect strategy, integration dependencies, cutover timing, and rollback options. No surprises.

03

Staged Migration

We migrate to a staging environment first. You review and test everything — content, functionality, forms, payments — before any go-live decision.

04

Go-Live & Cutover

DNS cutover, final data sync, redirect deployment, and real-time monitoring. We stay on-call for the first 48 hours post-launch.

05

Post-Migration Support

Two weeks of priority support included. We monitor for crawl errors, broken links, ranking changes, and resolve any issues that surface after go-live.

Why It Matters

A Bad Migration Can Cost More Than the Project

Platform migrations done without a plan routinely destroy SEO rankings, break integrations, lose customer data, and leave businesses offline for days. We've cleaned up migrations done by other agencies — we'd rather you never need that.

Our process starts with an audit, runs a full parallel test environment, and only cuts over when you've signed off on every page and function. You stay in control throughout.

301 redirect mapping for every changed URL
Google Search Console monitoring pre & post go-live
Full data backup before any changes
Staging environment — test before you commit
48-hour on-call support after cutover
No downtime during business hours (where possible)

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as moving my hosting to you?

No — moving your existing site to WebAcumen hosting is free and fully managed (see Transfer to Us). Platform Migration is for changing platforms: Shopify to WooCommerce, WordPress to a headless CMS, legacy systems to a modern stack.

Will I lose data in the move?

No. Content, products, customers, and order history are migrated with a zero-data-loss approach — verified before anything is switched over.

What happens to my search rankings?

We map old URLs to new ones and implement proper redirects, so the SEO equity you've built moves with you.

How much downtime should I expect?

Minimal to none. The new platform is built and tested in parallel while your current site keeps running — we only switch over once everything is verified.
