How does it work with an existing mobile app?
If you already have a mobile app, you have the option to transfer it into one of our Mobile App Packages. Should you not have access to the source code, we will redesign your mobile app using the most relevant, cutting-edge technologies and trends and also do any updates/changes you may require.

How does the monthly maintenance work?
Mobile App Packages include Content Management time slots that can be used to request changes and/or updates to your app. Any work done outside these free allocated time frames will be invoiced at the regular R350 per hour rate.
For packages that don’t include Content Management, a change request can be submitted to info[at]webacumen.co.za. Rates apply.
Do Mobile App Packages offer scale-ability?
Yes, your app can grow with your business! You can use your monthly allocated maintenance time to add pages and add-ons to your app as your business needs change. In the event that you require more server resources or maintenance time, you can request an upgrade in writing or via our upgrade page and we will have your package updated in no time!
Do you offer marketing services?
Yes, BrandAcumen, a division of WebAcumen, has fully qualified staff ready to assist you with your Digital Marketing journey, including SEO, Social Media, Google Ads, etc.
What if I want to downgrade my package?
Should you wish to downgrade to a smaller package, you can do so by requesting it in writing to info[at]webacumen.co.za.

Do prices increase annually?
No, there are no annual price increases. WebAcumen clients benefit from our Triennial Price Promise. Prices stay unchanged for 3-year cycles, after which a 10% increase is applied.
E.g. John signs up in 2021 for the Atto Package (our most popular package) at R1571 per month. For the next 3 years, John will continue to pay only R1571 per month. When the 3-year cycle is completed in 2024, John will pay R1,728.10 per month, a 10% increase of R157.10.
Can I cancel my package at any time?
Should you wish to completely cancel your package before 15 months and keep your mobile app, you will have the option to buy the app in order to own it. In the case that you do not wish to own the app, all your data will be exported and provided to you and the app (the design) will be terminated. We do not keep backups of canceled apps. WebAcumen carries a 30-day termination notice period. You will be liable for one (1) final month’s fees, excluding the month in which you cancel, following your termination notice as the service remains active for a final 30 days. If you are an annual customer and have settled hosting for 12 months in advance, a refund will be calculated taking the final one-month fee into account.
Can I transfer my mobile app to another web host?
Most certainly. Should you wish to transfer before 15 months is completed, you will need to buy the app to own it.
If 15 months have passed and you wish to transfer to another web hosting provider, you simply request that the new hosting provider submit a transfer ticket to us which we will accept and release your app to your new web host. But why would you do that?
Are Mobile App Packages on contract?
You do have to sign an agreement, yes, but you have the freedom to upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time, as the agreement is on a month-to-month basis.

Can I manage my own mobile app content?
Yes, but you will have limited access to content editing only. Database and Administrator level access is strictly managed by WebAcumen. You will also receive an addendum to your agreement stating that you have chosen to manage your own content and take full responsibility for any damages/data loss as a result of improper operation.
Can you assist with logo design and letterheads etc?
Yes, BrandAcumen, a division of WebAcumen offers Graphic Design services as well. We design logos, letterheads, business cards, websites, mobile apps, etc.
